The owners of this establishment are great. A wonderful down to earth couple that welcomes all. This is a small country style Pub, it even has a Cat and you can take your Dog in. It has a lovely atmosphere that you feel as soon as you enter the door. A huge log fire will warm you up in the Winter Months as you enjoy one of the many fantastic Wines or Beers on offer. You WILL NOT be disappointed with the food. It is all cooked fresh just for you and all bought locally by the Landlord Mark himself. This is not fast food…… Just relax, chill out and enjoy yourself. Chat with one of the friendly locals and make a night of it. If your in a rush, want crappy re-heated stodgy food this is not the place for you.

last month me and my partner stayed at the wheatsheaf inn in one of their static caravans. when we arived we came into the pub with a warm welcome, first impressions were warm, cosy and friendly with real fires and good real ales. we stated that we had booked the caravan for 3 nights in which we were handed the keys and directed up to our caravan, being shown how things work. the caravan itself was clean and warm with better views than what we were expecting. the sight was not over-run, which was perfect for a quiet getaway. we booked in for an evening meal, there was a good selection of homecooked food, catering for everybodys needs. the meals we had were fantastic and the beer complimented it well. our stay was so enjoyable i felt i had to write this review and would recomend anyone to the establishment. we will return.

well what can i say, i've never stayed at a worse place in my life,we booked 2 statics for the weekend. The caravan leaked badly so one bedroom was unuseable, the caravan steps were an absolute death trap and the supposed meal facilities were non existant. twice we tried to get a meal for a party of 10 and both times we were told they could not cope with the demand.the owners were arrogant and unhelpful when asked for local information and even passed on the number of a taxi firm that quoted us £160 return to a hotel 11 miles away.Make your own mind up folks but we were very very disapointed with this place
