Best rates for a Local Hotel

When we booked this hotel we understood that they'd just installed a new manager days beforehand and it seems the new people had settled in really well because everything was perfect. Whether you're visiting Maidstone, Ashford, The North Downs, or the nearby Leeds castle - the location couldn't be better. Furthermore, because of the excellent rail links it's also perfect for zipping into London. The hotel is only a 2 minute walk from Harrietsham mainline station which not only gets you to Ashford International easily and quickly - it also gets you direct to London in about 75mins. When we stayed there we went to see a show in the West End then hopped on the train back to the hotel easily. We were also really impressed with the hotel itself. It's full of charm and has a wonderful countryside quaintness about it. It's also nice and spacious with a more-than-ample restaurant (I really hate hotels where you have to queue for breakfast in the morning because there aren't enough seats - no chance of that at The Roebuck). The new people who run it are Paul and Pam and they were the warmest friendliest people going. They both bent over backwards to fulfil our needs - in fact they exceeded all expectations. The rooms were clean, the food was varied and well cooked (lovely full English breakfast included) - and I liked the fact that nothing was too much bother (i.e if you wanted breakfast earlier or later it wasn't a hassle). The staff were all friendly and locals laid back and welcoming. The hotel itself is above the pub, but don't let that put you off. It's a lovely place in an easy to get to location. Also if you decide to drive the hotel has its own large car park which is free. I'd certainly stay again - so thanks Roebuck
