Best rates for a Local Hotel

Five Lakes is a very impressive property sitting by the coast in Essex. Near places like Tiptree jam - great for any visiting Americans, the countryside feels rural and rugged. The hotel itself is large and business like in style and is set on a vast expanse of grounds - mainly the golf course which attracts famous tournaments, people and the likes of SKY TV. There are numerous bars, restaurants and kids are very welcome. The golf is good and zooming around on buggies great fun if you are a conference visitor without golf skills. They have a pro on site and a big golf shop.

Good Points: it was friendly and the facilities enabled me to be able to relax and unwind from the stresses of life. Bad Points: it was all good. General Review: i would stay at five lakes again and have already reccommended it to my friends.

Beautiful setting, spacious well-appointed room, good food, friendly courteous staff and a remarkable range of on-site facilities. The range of package offers can become a bit confusing to the casual visitor. Given the prominence of golfing facilities, it would be nice to know exactly what is available to non-package visitors and at what rates. My guess is that a restricted offer - say nine holes between 4pm and 7pm thrown in as part of a casual visitor stay would be a winner.

Modern and spacious. Large bed and good shower in large bathroom. Quiet and peaceful location with lots to do in and around the hotel. No mini-bar or refrigerator. Good value modern hotel with additional benefit of modern leisure and sports facilities. The restaurant facilities were satisfactory but could be improved on: standards varied over the two nights I stayed. Overall the stay was an excellent value for money package.

Clean, comfortable rooms. Good Breakfast. Friendly helpful staff. Ample car parking. Sports facilities excellent. Slow service in Brasserie. Reception staff were professional and helpful. Room was clean, comfortable and good size. Only problem was a chair, which was broken. Brasserie service was slow, but staff were friendly and helpful. Although due to language difficulties they brought the wrong drinks. Sports and leisure facilities were extensive and impressive. The indoor tennis courts lacked nets between the tennis courts and the badminton courts. However, it was an excellent hotel to stay at with minor imperfections (which are not detrimental to overall view). The staff all did their best to make it a pleasant and relaxing break.
