Best rates for a Local Hotel

Although the hotel is going through refurbishment you can see that it's being done on the cheap. My teenage daughters room did not have a bathroom or toilet (we were not informed this on booking) and I was not prepared for her to walk down the corridor to the toilet or shower, so I used it and she shared with my wife in our double. The off suite shower was disgusting. It was dirty and mouldy. I did not use it or the toilet; I used the bathroom facilities in out double room. The net curtains in the rooms we had booked were filthy. The beds are small. You have to leave a £10 deposit for the key, but you have to hand the key in when you leave the hotel anyway??!!?? There is a lot of traffic noise at the front of the hotel, probably due to the fact that the window in the single room would not close completely. There were black deposits in the kettle and you only get one teabag in the room that is not sealed in anything, it is open to all the elements and the previous occupants’ fingers. You have to pay for the room when you check in!?!? And a notice states that there is no refund once the room has been viewed (how often do you ask to view the room before checking in?!?). There is a notice in reception that states “We pride ourselves in providing the best breakfast in town” We decided against breakfast on the 2nd morning and travelled 70 miles to a Little Chef. Breakfast is served until 9am, on the first morning we turned up at 8:30 am and there was no more bacon...and none left in the kitchen. We were also asked if we wanted anymore toast after eating the 3 slices provided, the waitress returned and said they had run out of toast...how can you run out of toast??? Look elsewhere for a room. Very disappointed.
