visited The Dog at Peover many times and the last 3 visits over a period of 6 months have been disappointing. Tried today for Sunday lunch at £11+ not cheap !!! ...received veg in a very bland creamy sauce which ruined the vegetables. 3 roast potatoes, these were ok, the turkey was cold...that was it no mash or boiled. pretty rubbish. I mentioned it to the 'girls' on the till and they said "o we've must have run out of mash" silly girl it ws only 12.30pm !!! NEVER AGAIN...far better establishments for food. so 2 very average sunday lunches, 1 pint and 1/2 lime and lemonade £26 ...felt ripped off. If the food was of a great standard I wouldn't have bothered. I will take my money elsewhere
