What a fantastic day we had!! The staff at the Crown are brilliant, and the food was amazing!! I highly recommend the lamb cottage pie - SENSATIONAL!! I can't wait to go again, and have already told many friends about the place. Do your taste buds a favour and get along - it's 10/10!!!

The Crown stood out a mile as the sort of place we would want and we were certainly not disappointed. Charming and friendly service was matched with some perfect sunday lunch cooking. Their take on Kedgeree, Creamed haddock and egg with sauce and a dome of Pilau in the middle was different and great - my roast beef was spot on, with 1st class potatoes (so important) and Yorkshire. Could have done with more horseradish but I guess I could have asked. Treacle Tart and scumptious ice cream finished us off. Its a charming little townlet is Chalfont St Giles and if we lived close we use the Crown an awful lot. 9/10

We came in last night (sat in the window) and just wanted to say how much we enjoyed the evening. Great laid back atmosphere, truly excellent service and a really surprising menu…not sure how you’re making money on the hot pork pie and foie gras starter (I’d happily pay the £6 for either) but really enjoyed it. Wishing you every success
