Wow this was one of the best restaurants I have ever been too (I am on about the Jaf Jaf at cleckheaton). I went with friends the food was excellant!!!! I normally goto the restaurant next door Aldos which is always busy but is overated, I must admit after hearing the comments made by people about the italian restaurants in cleckheaton this has to be one to be seen at. The quality and service we were offered was impeccible even though lacking in atmosphere it really is excellant food and a lot more upmarket however pino next door will kill me if he knows that I will be coming here in futre so park your car at the back.

Well where do i start?? If you are reading this in preperation of going out for a nice meal, stop reading & find somewhere else to go!! Arrived to a friendly welcome but soon noticed most draught lagers were out of order, starters took an age to come & when they did one was missing. As for mains-well a friend who is a butcher swore blind the Veal was not Veal & more likely to be chicken, plates were cold, portions small, parma ham missing off £19 steak baring in mind it was called Filetto di Parma, pasta was bland oh yeah and the seperate £3 sauteed pots were the same as the boiled in the veg selection that comes with your meal. As you may have gathered all was not good, and dont think they were busy only one other table in which of course creates a lovely atmosphere!Still having a good night with friends we were going to just write it off as a learning experience but it was then we noticed the £18 bottles of wine stated on the label produced for ASDA!!Whilst complaining the waiter who was polite tried to defend with it being a busy period & needed extra stock, which i can appreciate but this should be reflected in the price & maybe you would think get extra stock in during the festive period?!A discount was put on the bill.If you still decide to go well good luck and who knows you may even see Gordon filming kitchen nightmares. Bon appetite!

Visited jaf jaf for a freinds birthday, the place was dead for a saturday but still the service was very slow. by the time my starter arrived everybody else had finished theirs. the mains came with mistakes and had to be sent back, i waited a dogs age for my calzone to come and when it did it was cold in the middle as was another calzone orderd by our party. they were sent back and 20 mins later when everyone else had finished 2 new calzones arrived and mine was stll cold in the middle but i ate it as i did not want to wait another 20 mins. also the lattes just tasted of milk with virtualy no cofee in. all in all a bad experience and not cheap either! also it wasnt a nice veiw to look at a massive motorway sign for the m1. im not a moaner and it has to bad for me not to like it, but ive had better calzones from a kebab shop! wont be going again.

I've never been to Jaf Jaf before and after saturday I won't be going again. I ordered a garlic bread pizza which was very bland, I ate it as we had already waited 45 mins for it to arrive and was rather hungary. I had finished my started before my parner had even got his. I asked for a pasta dish without mushrooms (as everything was riddled with them)which they replied 'no problem', when it arrived I doubled checked that there were no mushrooms and the waitress replied 'yes it has mushrooms, there you go', It went back. My partners calzone was red hot on the outside and freezing on the outside, so that went back too. When it arrived back it was still cold. It was knocked off the bill. The dessert was so over priced. As for the latte, It had no coffee in it so in effect i got a cup of hot milk for £2. Will not recommend this restaurant to anyone and from the amount of tables filled that night (4) People are begining to think the same.

We went to tge Jaf Jaf in leeds/wakefield the food was great the price even better - if ordered before 7 pm pasta/pizza dishes 4.95. The food was great and so was the service. We had a great night - we are planning to go back very soon. The only bad thing i could poss say is i thought the wine was a bit pricey.

This has to be one of the most overated restaurants I have ever been to. We went there to celebrate a friends birthday, having been shown to our table and had our orders taken we found that it was just under forty five minutes before we recieved our starters, which quite honestly tasted of nothing, Deviled Kidneys but Old Nick was sadly lacking. I was asked by the waiter as were my friends how would I like my steak cooked to which I replied medium to rare all the others asked for medium, when the said steaks arrived everybody's was cooked with blood runnig out of them except mine which was crispy in parts. We had to ask for more drinks very loudly as nobody seemed to be taking any notice and when at the end of the night we asked for the sweet menu the head waiter seemed like he would prefer to give us the bill and get us out of there so after being made to wait an awful long time again before he arrived back to take our sweets order by which time we were well and truly fed up we declined the puds paid without tipping and left I would seriously give this a miss (oh just in case you thought all this happened bacause the restaurant was busy and they were struggling to cope all I can say is DREAM ON) hey i'm an easy going guy usually so for me to write a review like this it must have been poor
