Reviews of The Crown Hotel, Helmsley

Best rates for a Local Hotel

Do not expect quality and customer care as standard if you decide to visit the Crown Hotel, and if visiting with pets do not confuse pets welcome with pets allowed. This hotel is overpriced for the quality of accomodation offered as 'standard' and charges £10 per night per pet only to ban them from all areas of the hotel except for an area they call the conservatory, which in reality is a covered area next to the foul smelling gents toilet. The good news is that it is only 6 miles away from the King's Head in Kirby Moorside, which serves great food, has a very friendly atmosphere and is truly pet friendly. As far as the Crown is concerned the breakfast was OK, but at £90 per room per night it should have been!
