Where do I begin?..Sat down with eight quests on a Saturday evening at 7.30 and was told by the server that nearly half the menu was unavailable 'because we've had a busy weekend'..It's early Saturday!!!!!!....Firstly, the pre drinks were very expensive. 2 pints of beer 4 glasses of cheap wine and 2 glasses or water about £32. Ordered the steak which was so thin ( 10mm) and over cooked (ordered a medium) that it was rendered virtually inedible. The potatoes were slightly undercooked and very greasy. The gravy (yes, gravy not a sauce) was salty to the n'th degree. A tomato plonked at the side of the plate was mushy on the outside and uncooked in the centre. The Broccoli was very nice! This was just my dinner so I'll stop there to be fair. Didn't bother to have a desert. The sooner this restaurant closes or changes hands to someone who knows how to run an eatery the better.

more a restaurant with deli than a pub I would say but still a great place nonetheless. Service was efficient yet relaxed and i had a very good blue cheese tartlet and a nicely cooked steak. Good chips too! it was a rainy wed but still very busy at 12.05pm

Wow ! What an unbelievable find. As picky Londoners (with an unnerving knack of finding mediocrity) we cdnt quite believe how busy this place was on a saturday and to be honest how fantastic it all was. The farm shop/deli at the front of the pub was innovative and a surprise to start - the food and the manner with which it was served was simply excellent. All dishes came made with produce of a local provenance, the steak spot on, the chips perfect and even the mushroom had that picked this morning flavour. I think it says something when the childrens dish (sos and mash in this case) had great mash and proper organic sausage - how many other places serve cheap rubbish for the little ones ! The Menu is good and long - the staff young and enthusiastic and they werent taking the mickey on price either. If ever a place deserves to do well its this one...but they dont need us to tell you this as it already is. 10/10 - and that is not given lightly
