My Grandmother Isabella Charlotte Geddes Macdonald Dempster and her son (my Mother's brother) Alexander Dempster are buried at Muthil Old Church. My Grandfather's name is also on the grave-stone - his name Alexander Munro-Dempster -who was killed 1916 during First World War - at the time he was serving with Princess Pat's Canadian Light Infantry but had fought in South African War and I believe Crimean War - he was in the HLI (Highland Light Infantry) and the Cameronians. I left my Wedding Boquet on my Grandmother's grave in 1962 and visit annually - I put a pot of heather in the ground and was surprised to see it had grown and spread around the front of Granny's graveside. Also Pernethya. My mother's married name was Mary Macdonald Donaldson (nee Dempster) - maybe this will help piece the history of the cemetry together - which I am sure many local people can help with relations buried there. Chrissie Malloch who lived across the road from my Granny is still living there on the main road Drummond Street. Love Elma
