Went for a meal to check out for my birthday as had booked hotel for our wedding guests in April 2010. Meal was awful - don't have tuna steaks - still had scales on, rocket with the fishcakes still had roots on and was not washed - absolutely disgusting and what a lazy chef - so much for food hygiene! Main course arrived - chicken was not cooked and hard edges on the sea bass fillets - complained - owner and waiting staff gave impression they couldn't care less - what a joke - totally spoiled my birthday meal - cancelled the full hotel booking for 2 nights for our wedding guests in April - lost hotel over £2k worth of bookings and they couldn't care less - go elsewhere don't eat here unless you want to risk food poisoning!

Good Points: room was clean...thats itBad Points: was closed when we arrived, had to ask other guests if we had the right place, they left front door open for us so we could have robbed every room if we wanted too, much vaunted restaurant was closed, bar was closed, by luck had the phone number to contact young chap who didnt have a clue, a shambles, had to guess where the car park was, place looked like a doss house, deeply disapointed, breakfast seemed an inconveinience to waitress, still no staff when we left, just left keys in the door and went, isnt against fire regs that we didnt even sign in or out ?General review: absolute rubbish, really was horrendously bad, why spend money on doing the rooms up and stuff the rest of the basic hotel requirements ? we have stayed in hundreds of hotels all over the world, from little b an bs to 6 stars we have never experienced anything like it... a joke

arrived at the white horse after the goodwood revival on sunday night ready for wash and brush up, we were expecting to eat in the resturant and have a drink at the bar, unfortunatly the place was shut, no signs, no reception, no lights on, had to ask two other guests if we had the right place who then kindly left the front door open for us,lucky for them we werent the burgurling type, no staff to be seen, first impression was that we had the wrong place and had stumbbled into a doss house, it was that bad, by pure luck i had the phone number and a young chap appeared down the stairs, he didnt have a clue, he just gave us some keys and pointed to our room, we were almost on the verge of leaving but to be fair the room itself was modern and clean, decent shower but otherwise average, rubbish view over car park which had to find by ourselves. breakfast was ok but felt we were interrupting and were a nuisance to waitress, left soon after by just leaving the key in the door, again no staff around, i honestly have never known a place like it, whoever runs this dump needs to wake up. storrington itself has nothing to offer, we had to drive to a overpriced chinese. overall the most disapointing experience, please avoid, ruined a fantastic day.
