Best rates for a Local Hotel

We really enjoyed our night at the hotel. The house and grounds were wonderful- we especially loved the ducks and rabbits! Our room, above the converted stables was smallish but lovely. There were two windows, so we had two great views. Only criticism was the hard bed! Staff were very helpful and breakfast good. Would stay again!

Good Points: Very pleasant and comfortable room; spacious. Good bathroom with superb shower (over bath). Tea and coffee making facilities which are always welcome; complimentary bottled water. Bad Points: No complaints at all. General Review: A lovely hotel in splendid setting. We booked only a few days before, in a hurry, and didn't really know what we might get but were delighted with our room. The only (very slight) minus was our pre-dinner experience: my proper gin martini was not chilled at all so presumably hadn't been shaken with ice and had no olive - and we were disappointed that no nibbles were brought with our drinks, as we would have expected them at a hotel of this standard; also the drawing room where we had our drinks had a rather uncared-for atmosphere - a bit dusty. But this is just nit-picking about an otherwise extremely pleasant stay with very good evening meal and breakfast.
