really nice site in beautiful surroundings with plenty to do nearby. The pub next door is adequate for food and there are a couple of good pubs in Seend - about 2 miles walk along the canal path. There are lots of attractions nearby - Longleat, Avebury, Stonehenge, Bath and Devises are all easy drives away. Unfortunately our visit was marred by exceptionally rude and unfriendly wardens on our arrival which is unusual for a CC site. I thought we had just caught them at a bad time but when most of the conversations overheard in the washing and laundry block involve how unpleasant the staff are you know there is a problem.
