Although this is a nice spot, the customer service is terrible and the facilities not great (only 1 toilet cubicle and shower for the whole site. No hot water in the washing up area). The owners, Barry and June, do not like families as children 'run amok on Barry's tractors' and the duck pond has an electric fence around it to 'keep the children out' (June told us). The 'KEEP OUT' and 'NO ENTRY' signs on approaching the main electric entry barrier were not welcoming, neither was the list of rules - no ball gamees without prior permission, no BBQ's without prior permission, dogs must be kept on a lead, tents must not damage the grass, etc. The prices were changed between booking the site and actually paying when we got there - when we questioned this we were told 'if you don't like it, you can pack up and get out'. Other than that, it was a lovely weekend...
