Went to my appointment for a root canal and crown which had been recommended after my initial consult. However was told by the dentist (Maria)that she would no longer be attempting that treatment and she could instead refer me to specialist who may be able to save the tooth. I do not have the money to pay for this treatment so opt to have the tooth removed, this was my worst mistake, after much levering of my tooth with elevators, and other instruments she managed to break off the top part of the tooth without removing the lower part or the roots and caused much damage to the surrounding gums. she must also have caused one of the elevators to slip at one point into the crevice of my mouth as I have a large ulceration consistent with this having happened. In the end she said she couldn't do it and would refer me to the hospital, this would mean a six month or so wait to have the tooth removed by a specialist. In the mean time I have a severely fractured tooth with exposed root, metal pins protruding lacerating my cheek and tongue, cut and damaged gums and ulcerations caused by the attempted extraction and to boot they still insisted that I had to pay for the extraction even though they had not completed the procedure.I was not aware of the damage they had inflicted until I arrived home and made a closer inspection. I have been in constant pain since the anaesthetic wore off and not sure what I can do now, six months is a long time to wait with this pain. Thanks allot Stratford dental.
