Mothering Sunday Lunch This was also a family get together following a wedding the previous day. I had contacted the hotel and asked about disabled access and was assured there would be no problem . On the day of the visit, all the staff went the 'extra' to ensure all of us had a good celebration/ family get together. The food was excellent and the price too, despite it being more than the normal price, being Mothering Sunday- but all Mothers got a lovely box of chocolates. We will not hesitate in recommending to our friends and will visit again in the not so distant future.

Good Points: Parking arrangement was very good (New England Hotel refunded parking fees for the duration of our stay) Very friendly service Bad Points: The executive room was very disappointing The room was not good enough for an ordinary double room. For example, there was a tiny wooden wardrope with mirrors and very little capacity for storage. General review: The room was not value for money at all.For example, it seemed quite strange to have only two paper cups in an executive room.

Good Points: The breakfast was the best part of the stay, it was hot and excellent in spite of the chef being off sick and the waitress having to do everything. Bad Points: The receptionist on booking in did not give us any information on breakfast times etc, No clock in the room, the shower needed attention, the curtains didn't close properly. General review: Adequate for 1 night

I stayed one night at this hotel just bed and breakfast in a single room. The room and bedding were clean and the bed comfortable. The room had an adequate supply of tea and coffee and a television should I have wanted one. The staff were helpful and the premises were centrally located for the town of Boston. The breakfast of the standard English breakfast was good and I would certainly use it again if I were to stay in Boston.

General review: It was unfortunate that our stay coincided with a wedding party, with a number of wedding guests staying in the hotel. Inevitably we had a disturbed night. I think that it would have been reasonable to have been informed of this fact in advance. There were wedding guests in all the rooms nearby, or it certainly seemed so. We decided to have evening meal in the hotel, which again with hindsight was a mistake. Many of the choices of starter and main course were no longer available. There was no separation of the wedding party from the other residents/guests. The above forms the basis of our answer to the next question; given a different set of circumstances, the answer might well have been more positive.
