Absolutely awful. Never again. I actually looked at the reviews before I booked and although earlier reviews were awful, it looked as if this had improved later on. I can assure you that this was the worst place I have ever stayed and I am not exactly fussy. On arriving I was placed on the top floor with my 16 year old daughter. The door handle was falling off and on entering the room I had to shut the door over first to allow my daughter to then come in. No problem its small we can deal with that! I went to the ensuite toilet and the window on the door practically fell out. Another small problem! We went to visit my oldest daughter at university and then arrived back at the hotel at 11.15pm. My daughter's version of the hotel was "This looks like a brothel". She's not kidding- IT DOES. We went to bed but is was impossible to sleep as the windows are unsafe and not secure. It was a terrible night and the whole night the window rattled so loud We were terrified it would come in on us. As for breakfast in the basement restaurant! We don't know we got out of there first thing in the morning. Think of the film "THE SHINING" and you have Castle Park Hotel. BEWARE DON'T GO THERE!!!!
