Lovely historical homely atmosphere with very comfortable beds and the best shower system I found anywhere in the UK. The hostess was wonderful and welcoming without crowding. Breakfast well cooked and presented - and plenty of it. Lovely relaxed atmosphere in the house. Large grounds to wander around in.
Out of seven one nighter places on a quick trip to the UK this was a stand out at number one by a long way.
