This was the third annual booking that Solway Morris had made with the Gaydon Hotel as we were attending the St. Anne’s Carnival weekend on 11/12 July 2008. Bookings were made for eight people in 3 double/twin and 2 single en-suite rooms. Telephone and written confirmations were made five months earlier in February and deposit cheques for £80.00 were sent and had cleared the bank account. Upon arrival some rooms had been down graded from en-suite to shared facilities a single person in our party had been transferred elsewhere without notification and was expected to pay a higher room rate. Booking omissions and addition errors resulted in extra monies being requested at check out. The inability by Sue or Jon Felles to deal with the situation, which was of their own making, in a professional manner had spoilt our stay. Christine Hobson Bagman for SOLWAY MORRIS
