Where do I start? The person who runs the grange an extremely rude woman who ruined my wedding was how I shall start, This could be my own fault in that when trying to find the grange courtyard, we were warned by a local not to stay there. As we decided the place was beautiful, and clean we ignored her awful manner. I was loooking for a venue for my family to stay in for my wedding. It is the worst decision on the wedding I made. I could not have organised it any more clearer for the woman who runs it. It was all on paper all guests had booked there room. I gave her a list of which rooms were required leaving one cottage available / empty for othere bookings. She messed my elderly grandparents around shifting them on each night to a different room, she put strangers in with my uncles family who have children when none of this was needed as it was all organised and on paper for her, and been booked by everyone individually as well. Not only this a 3 year old was refused a glass of water on arrival, the woman barked at guests as they arrived to go away the rooms are not ready, the breakfast was disgusting cold pre cooked and stingy, and you have to book a slot, the whole thing was pandamonium all because of one person, who has no ability to run it. Do not stay here if you want a friendly polite service, the only thing positive about that place is the housekeeping staff, and the look of it. You could end up staying with complete strangers in the same cottage, rudely spoken to, cold breakfast... be warned.

Don't go there!!! We had booked two rooms and had agreed to arrive by 7.00pm. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we arrived at 8.40pm. We had telephoned ahead to advise accordingly. The reception which we received was extremely rude and unprofessional. The lady who ran the establishment used language which is totally inappropriate purely because we arrived late. We were told that we were never welcome again and that was within minutes of arriving. We remained polite at all times. The buildings/rooms are exceptionally well presented, but the hospitality and breakfast service were the worst that we have ever experienced. We also witnessed other guests being treated in a less than professional manner.

I chose the Grange as it seemed the pertect restfull venue. That was until I arrived after 10:30pm which I was told in no uncertain terms was fround upon! I did state that I had called earlier, and that i'd called again stating I would be late. I was then told that I hadn't and it was infured that I was in fact a lier!! The rude night porter then decided to play the answer phone and guess what.. there was I leaving a message politly stating that indeed my arrival would be a late one.. Naturally I didn't get an apology, just a tatty booking in form thrust at me to complete. My advise to ANYONE who are looking for a restful stop over would be to keep looking! In fairness I have not met the rest of the staff, but the night porter had to be seen to be believed. Don't ever stay there unless you enjoy being insulted, totally unbelievable!

I cannot stress enough how annoyed I feel about the owner of this establishment. She was rude, abrupt and unpleasant on the telephone and in person. For a relatively expensive place to stay, it was only adequate. I take exception to having to "book" my "breakfast slot" when checking in, being informed of only two available times. This was for a Sunday following a wedding. In addition to this we were asked to inform them whether we would be drinking tea or coffee in advance! Breakfast itself was nothing particularly special and we were unable to sit with other people who had attended the same event, being seated at a table in the owner's living room with another family. The bedroom was booked for two adults, a toddler and infant and was too small for us all. The owner also offended other people staying that weekend. Do not stay here unless this treatment is acceptable to you.
