BEWARE :- Booked for a 4 night short break in a Gold plus caravan. Very tatty, dirty carpets and upholstery, gas fire wouldn't light, frying pan disgusting, TV old analogue with separate Freesat box and separate DVD player. In order to use the DVD you had to unplug and re plug the various scart and power supplies as only 2 power points available. Complained about the carpets and upholstery which was part deep cleaned whilst we were out leaving the carpet and upholstery wet for the next few days. Frying pan was partially cleaned on outside, but in all honesty should have been confined to the bin. If this caravan was a Gold, then I would not want to stay on one of their Silver or Bronze. Complaints to H/Q are referred back to the holiday park in question, so any hope of recompense is a waste of time. I would like to say to the managers of Suffolk Sands, that adding a microwave and DVD player and making the beds on arrival does not make it a Gold caravan. Had I had booked via the Sun £9 per person cheap holidays, then ok I would have let it ride, but I didn't and paid full price. The Gold caravan was single glazed and had puney fan heaters in the bedrooms which would have been dangerous to leave on over night.
