Good Points: Location was fine. Hotel bar was popular and stayed open late. Bad Points: Everything else. The common areas of the hotel (staircases, corridors, etc) were in a poor state. The carpets were badly worn and dirty. Beyond the reception/bar area the hotel was grubby and falling to bits. Debris from a collapsed ceiling (no doubt resulting from heavy rain that weekend) lay in the corridors for several hours. Notices were taped to corridor walls with brown sticky tape and were generally tatty. Overall, a shambles. The bedroom was tiny but habitable for a couple of nights. General review: Shocking. Misplaced pretentiousness at its best. Each room may have been designed by an individual designer but that didn't add up to much. The place needs stripping out and starting again
