I found the experience of visiting the Walmer practice to be a dissappointing one. The new surgery hass an unfriendly ambience with harsh laminate flooring and was uncomfortable. The treatment was almost half an hour late but the dentist was efficient. However when trying to book for the treatment to have a broken front tooth crowned they were looking at a 6 week wait! And to cap it all they wanted the whole fee up front!! I paid for the inspection by cash as they take a surcharge on credit card use. Have now been to Smile clinic in Dover who appear to be much better all round.

I was absolutley petrified of the dentist and attended Pennypot as an emergency last year. I ended up having to have root canal treatment with Davina who was absolutley brilliant. I found her to be caring & sensitive and her calm approach put me totally at ease. Recently I broke a tooth while on holiday, before i would have just left it as the thought of going to the dentist filled me with dread. But, i went to see Davina who told me that it really needed to be taken out as there was nothing she could do with it. So after a couple of minutes consultation, in went the cotton wool to numb the area in went the injection (which i never felt) and then out came the tooth quickly followed by a wisdom tooth that was due to be taken out at some point. All i can say is a huge thank you to Davina for restoring my faith in the dentist and to all the staff at the practise who are all so friendly and caring. I have recommended the practise to all my friends and family. Keep up the good work.
