Utterly appalled is the only way to describe our visit to spalding fun farm this morning. We travelled 16 miles from Boston and arrived about 7 minutes before it opened. We walked into the small foyer as it was open and opened the main door and asked a female middle aged member of staff if it was ok to wait in the foyer for 5 or so minutes until it opened as it was freezing outside. The woman looked at us, sighed dramatically and then rolled her eyes and snapped 'Yes' in a really sarcastic and rude way. It was as if we really were asking too much by wanting to stand in the mere entrance of the building out of the cold while we waited for the main doors to open. After she snapped at us ( myself, my husband and 2 children) I told her it didnt matter because we were not staying and that she was rude and needed a refresher course in customer service. I will be contacting not the manager, but the owners. On a good note we went across the road to well known garden centre where the children enjoyed seeing santa - so all was not lost!
