We contacted "The Willowsmere" having just experienced the shock of having our original Christmas plans scuppered by a travel firm going out of business. We were not organised for a Christmas at home and were so looking forward to our very first Christmas away from home. Martin and Sue were able to take our reservation at very short notice and immediately set about making a "Christmas to remember" for us. We cannot fault the excellent standards, the very friendly and caring hosts and staff and the sheer welcoming and homely feel to the place. We felt that we had spent a very magical time being entertained by thoughtful and generous friends. The generosity included complimentory drinks at the Christmas Eve supper and at Christmas lunch and even Christmas presents on the breakfast table. Our room (which they kindly upgraded to a four poster room) was very beautiful, there was everything you would need to support your stay and everything was immaculately clean. All we want to do now is to extend a huge thank you to Martin and Sue and their staff. Thanks for saving our Christmas and we wish you every success in the future. We highly recomend "The Willowsmere" to anyone considering a Christmas break in 2008.

General Review: Very helpful and friendly hosts. Cup of tea on arrival which was most welcome. Access to two really nice lounge areas and also a lovely garden. Breakfast was wonderful. Room was large, comfortable and clean. Really enjoyed our stay. No complaints.
