The above comment is clearly written by Douglas Rennie himself. My experience of the restraunt was decent, not as bad as the first review but those who work in the bosun's table shouldn't really comment!

The food was reasonably priced but unimaginative and below average and absolutely appalling for vegetarians and vegans. The customer service was quite poor, the staff were brusque and quite unfriendly. Overall, a very disappointing lunch.

Douglas Rennie is certainly pulling all the stops out on Friday and Saturday evenings at the Bosun's Table
Fine Dining at reasonable prices.
Just what the area needs.
Let's hope he continues to offer a well structured menu comprising fresh locally sourced ingredients.
