A memorable evening. The food was excellent, such a large choice! and very well served and presented. We were made to feel so welcome by all the staff and the whole atmosphere was relaxed and cosy. To add to this there was musical entertainment; an exceptional female singer whose range and choice of songs was perfect. Not pitched too loud and songs that everyone hums and can sing along to, perfect background for the meal. There were three celebrations that evening and each party was obviously enjoying the night and atmoshere. We shall certainly be visiting again, Costas is attentive and his staff deliver a service that I have not experienced for a long time.Excellent value and a most enjoyable experience, we will definitely be visiting again soon. Sunday lunch has been recommended and we will book for that, although this may prove to be difficult as places seem to go quickly! Thank you for a wonderful evening

Booked 3 weeks ago for my birthday. Shoved into a cold back room, had to wear my coat. Food OK. No one else in room, asked to move and told it was full, then saw 10 couples being seated in there. Could not see or hear the singer. ASked to speak to manager but he sent a waitress. Felt insulted, cold and upset. Never again

Having read the adverse review on this restaurant I was dubious when a party that I was in of eight booked a table for a busy Saturday night. I was very pleasantly surprised; the food and service was excellent not one of us had a bad word to say about it. And for £35.00 for a couple was excellent value. No problem in recommeding this restaurant.

We regularly visit this lovely restaurant. Costos, John and his team are always attentive and the food is excellent. Whether it is a quiet lunch or celebration every care is taken to meet the needs of the guests. I would recommend this establishment to anyone wishing for good service.

Having been informed that Sotirios was the best restaurant in the area it was somwhat disappointing to actually have the experience. Impressed by the immediate service from the manager, he took our order and then disappeared from view for the duration. Our starter, three of us opted for Whitebait. Who can get whitebait wrong ?, Sitirios can. The fish were too big for whitebait, they were not properly prepared or adequatly seasoned and stodgy to eat. Half of them were left on the plate, did the manager come back and ask if there was a problem ? No he did not ! Main course - Two opted for steak, not tough but tasteless and chewy, and chewy, and still chewy. But the dog liked what was left. One opted for duck, it was tough. The fourth item must have been OK, if forgetable, because the lady didn't complain about it. No desert ! We had suffered enough. I can recomend the melon (couldn't get that wrong could they ?) and the saute potatoes were superb. The two bottles of wine were not bad either. Nobody asked if we had enjoyed the meal, just as well in the circumstances, I suppose. At some thirty quid a head it was not an experience I would repeat. On the basis of this visit I think that Sotirios reputation is not deserved. In my opinion there are better restaurants in the Folkestone & Hythe area. This is a personal opinion after a one off visit, perhaps it was a bad night, who knows ? I shall not however be going back.

We only moved into Hythe a few months ago and were lucky enough to go into Sotirios for Sunday lunch................ since then we have never been away from the place and are keeping Costas and his Taxman very happy! The food is superb, the ambience is excellent and the staff make you feel as if you are part of a big family. We have rarely felt more satisfied - and believe me, we have many years of fine dining under our belts! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this Restaurant to anyone but hope that too many people won't take notice or we might not get back in and that would be a tragedy!!!!!!!!!!!
