This restaurant was recommended to us by an Italian friend as the only Italian food in the city that he ever ate. So we arrived with high expectations and were not disappointed. Bistro Italiano offers a far more authentic selection of food than the majority of American-style Italian places which profound in Durham City. This really was the best meal I've had in years! The staff were polite, helpful and very friendly- so overall a fantastic evening. I shall be going back very soon.

Very nice authentic Italian food. Friendly staff. seating a bit cramped.Over charged in excess of £20 so would advise to check bill before paying. Spoilt what had been an enjoyable evening. Had planned to return but not now.
