Lovely Authentic Italian... My wife and I visited this restaurant for the first time this evening and what a surprise we had. We have traveled far and wide (UK & abroad) and spend many an evening each week dining out, with Italian cuisine being our favorite. We ate alfresco this evening (a Wednesday) in the delightful covered rear courtyard of this 400+ year old restaurant, amongst dozens of other extremely happy diners. They also have two floors of interior dining space available within their quaint old building, which we had a brief look at as we left. This too looked delightful and we look forward to dining indoors there when the good old British weather reverts to its usual form. The hosts (a couple who have been running the restaurant for some 17 years) made us feel at home and were full of joy, whilst still leaving us to chat amongst ourselves, taking in the tranquil surrounds. The food was exquisite, full of flavour, authentic, hot and both my wife and I thought our food to be the best Italian cuisine we had eaten in the UK so far. I highly recommend the Pollo alla Zingara and Martini special desert. The atmosphere was equally as impressive and ideal for either a romantic meal for two or a relaxed family or group meal. Before visiting I had hunted for on-line reviews (as I always do) and found none. However, as you could probably gather from this review, we were amazed that this gem existed along a quiet stretch of old Leighton Buzzard town. They would appear to have built up enough of a reputation locally to not need web advertising or reviews. That's it for now. I can honestly say that we both look forward to returning soon and trying some of the other delights of their menu. We will definitely go back with friends and family and would highly recommend this place. But sshhhh.... keep it under your hat as we do not want it too busy...

What a superb restaurant! First class service and the food is incredible, by far the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to and will definately be going back. I would recommend it to all.
