I always fancied this hotel, after walking past it so many times. We decided to spend new years eve there, so husband could drink without worrying about driving. The staff are very nice, friendly and helpful. The hotel was warm, welcoming and had a lovely, 1920's feel about it, with dark wallpapers, chandelier lighting, but was modern at the same time. The room had the most comfortable bed i have ever slept in- i mean it, i wanted to take that bed home! and i didn't want to get up the next day! it was a double bed, but was a very generous sized bed. The room had a pretty little bathroom with Best Western toiletries. The shower water was the perfect temperature. The room had a selection of tea, coffee, chocolate, biscuits, etc..there was a big, double wardrobe and dressing table. Breakfast was included in the price- all you can eat, buffet-breakfast. You could choose from; bacon, eggs- fried or boiled, toast, beans, sausages, mushrooms, rolls, cereals, tea, freshly made coffee, selection of juices. Breakfast was served in the big dining room, all tables laid perfectly with beautiful, pristine linens. All this was just £70 for the two of us, for the one night- about £35 each. I would definitely stay here again. It is also close to Northampton town centre.

Good Points: Our room was facing onto a little courtyard, the furnishings were extremely nice, there was tea/coffee making facilities. Iron, Ironing Board, Extra pillows. The room was really nice. Bad Points: Nothing! General Review: I thought the hotel was lovely. Room as explained above. The staff were friendly, the hotel was lovely. The breakfast was superb!. The only critisism would be that the soft drinks were expensive, £1.50 for a small bottle of water, but this is not exclusive to this hotel, I think you find this wherever you go.
