Prior to seeing an exhibition in town today my friend and I needed to find a place for a light lunch that was not too pricey. We were most pleased to come across this pub in a relatively quiet side street. The food was excellent. My seared swordfish was fresh and grilled to perfection. It was served with delicate baby potatoes, fresh green beans and a drizzled salad. My friend enjoyed her ricotta lasagne. The servings were just the right amount. The service was very good even though the staff were rushed also attending to mass Christmas bookings simultaneously. Two main courses with good quality ice cream for puds, a soft drink and a glass of wine came to less than £25 for the two of us. We'll definitely use this restaurant again for our next visit! Thanks.
