Good Points: Very powerful shower and nice clean, white bedding and towels. The breakfast was generous and of good quality Bad Points: Over priced in comparison with other local accomodation, seemed very short staffed. Bed was uncomfortable. Breakfast not available before 8.30am at weekends General review: The building looks impressive from the outside however on entering the reception the inside appeared dated and unwelcoming. The bedroom was described as a small double and was very small and the river view included an industrial estate and Superbowl. The local clientelle in the bar were roudy and foul mouthed later in the evening.

Good Points: The room was clean, good size for me (one person), enough facilities, private. Overall the staff is very friendly, relaxed, rather informal (in a nice way) and particularly helpful. The food and the service is very good. In short, they make people feel welcome. Bad Points: Difficult to say. I was expecting less for a 2-star hotel. General Review: It is the first time I stay in a 2 star hotel. I booked it because of the reviews and opinions of previous guests. They seemed satisfied despite the size of the rooms (rather small in some people's opinion but OK for one person). The food is very good (English food restaurant with some other varieties), the rooms and linen are clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Good Points: Property in nice location. Bad Points: No outside window; couldn't shut the velux window with its selection of strings. Small t.v. General Review: Wasn't clear where to park when we 1st arrived. There was dirty linen piled up at the bottom of the stairs. Noisy - a wedding party below. The breakfast was good, as was the service. The hotel is a bit quirky and a bit expensive for what it is.

The staff were very friendly and helpful; the breakfast was very good and substantial. The room was clean but the bed was extremely uncomfortable with every spring sticking up. The bedroom was basic and floral, but the water bottle was welcomed by those of us that don't drink hot drinks.

We received a lovely warm welcome. Nothing too much trouble. Warm and friendly. Lovely room. Evening meal really good. We would certainly stay there again.
