Best rates for a Local Hotel

Good Points: The location and the general 'ambiance' Bad Points: No lift and the 'high tech' heating system was not readily controllable. General review: We were very fortunate in having a spacious room with a view over the loch which was amazing. We had a very warm welcome and found the staff friendly and helpful. We didn't have an evening meal because we could not get a table but had an excellent time at the Clachaig Inn in Glencoe. Breakfast in the hotel overlooking the loch was another plus.

The location was excelent, the staff were friendly and efficient and the room was nice but a little small. I stayed there on a business trip and this was arranged at last minute, but at about £115 plus vat for room only it was a rip off. The restaurant was nice but the food was well overpriced and the portions were TINY. I think they are used to catering for pensioners with no appetite. I actually drove to Fort William to the chip shop after having a meal to get filled up. At the first opportunity I changed hotels. I would not reccomend the hotel due to the price and mean portions they call a meal, although the staff are the nicest you may find anywhere.
