The Waggon and Horses was recommended to us for an evening meal by the owners of the B&B we stayed at in Kerry. Walking in to the pub you see a very traditional bar and seating areas. Everyone, the bar staff, owners and customers were all very friendly and we were able to have a pleasant chat before being called for our meal. The pub has a restaurant at the back of the building which is decorated in an entirely different fashion to that of the pub. It is very contemporary but comfortable also. The food is absolutely delicious. We went on two occasions (and were a bit upset that they didn't serve food on Wednesdays, otherwise we would have made 3 visits!) the first being the Tuesday menu which appears to be more traditional fayre. The Steak and Kidney pie and Sausage and Mash were excellent. On the second night the menu was more elaborate and just as delicious. During the meals were were not rushed (although I understand they are much busier on Fridays and Saturdays) and were able to sit and enjoy the meal with a bit of conversation. All in all an excellent place to visit and I believe the Ales are good too.
