ruined my wifes surprise birthday party by telling her all about it on arrival at reception even though we had arranged it as so,rooms were freezing cold windows jammed open no kettles, cups or even a biscuit (we had four rooms). constant humming noise in rooms 24 hrs a day, two of my guests fell in the snow as none of the footpaths had been gritted, 12pm tried room service nobody answered so a trip to reception revealed all staff were in the bar as if they had finished work letting phones just ring. this happens when there is only twenty year olds left to run a hotel basically they dont care less.DONT GO THERE try to find a phone number or address for this place in the uk

Firstly, before booking a room in this hotel it is advisable to check whether there is a wedding party for any of the nights in question. We booked for 2 nights and there was a party both nights. The noise was horrendous (the function room was close to our room) and so we did not sleep well at all. The breakfast was of good quality though the tables were a little tatty and the service was slow. One at least of the staff was inexperienced as we noticed her wiping a table top and then the cutlery with the same cloth (!). Interior decor is 1950s and anaemic. The staff were generally friendly except that when checking out the person was terse. The bar has those spotlights on the ceiling that are annoyingly dazzling. Mainly because of the party noise I would not stay here again - it's unacceptable.

A fantastic hotel all round, very clean and comfortable. The staff are fantastic, nothing is too much for them and room service is very fast. House Keeping is perfect, rooms are modern and very well organised. The hotel has a very relaxing feel, the only things i could say are not perfect are both the size of a breakfast which is quite small compared to most places and on a party noght such as a wedding or special night the music can be heard from the rooms rarther well. Overall a fantastic hotel that i will deffinatly visit again in the near future
