I was going to book a room at this hotel on sunday. I went in with my son to have a pint and somthing to eat. But there wasnt any larger in the hotel only bottles. I asked the lady behind the bar when will she get the beer in. She told me Friday. That's 5 day's. Then i asked for some food for me and my son. She said we dont do food here. Hotel with no beer and no food. I did not book a room at Queens hotel. I should have read the reviews at first. I was talking to some locals about the Queens. Most of them said they are always running out of beer and the lady who runs the place is to lazy to cook food.

Booked 2 rooms for a family stay and what looks ok on their website is actually a horrible, noisy pub with dodgy men hanging about in the foyer shared with the pub and a stink of smoke in the air. I had a 6 month old baby with me who I had to take through that. The staff was also unkind especially the large woman behind the bar. I ordered some food and large lady just walked off and ignore At night half of Wales' teenagers seemed to arrive outside the hotel where there is a bus shelter where they got drunk and shouted til the early hours. This would have bothered us if we weren't already being kept up by the racket from downstairs where the crazy frog song was being played at an unbelievable volume which they kept blasting up then turning down again over and over. There is absolutely nothing positive about this place except the hill out of the window. I will recommend people not to stay in this hotel. Avoid at all cost

Stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights. The staff was unkind especially the young lady and the big lady behind the bar. The attitude of the young lady and the big lady was not nice. A smile does not hurt nobody. The food was awfully greasy. The room i stayed was beyond a joke not clean and the furniture was as old as me and i am in my sixties.
Never again i will visit the Queens Hotel. Shame because Blaenau Ffestiniog is a nice town with friendly locals. If you need to go for a pint and a good Sunday lunch i will recommend the Meirion Vault better service and better staff.

The place itself is ok. Nothing special, but if you want a comfortable sleep and a shower then it's ok. .
