Went to stay in the Manor House appartment 1 and had a good time. all of the staff were very friendly. The appartment was spotless but smelt a bit doggie at first. Made coffee and toast and opened the window for a while and it was fine. Never noticed it again. It does seem a shame to allow pets into such lovely appartments. It looked like they had fitted brand new carpets and the beds were very comfortable. Cooker / grill and microwave combined + two hobs was fine and we managed well. Kitchen equipped very well with all cooking utensils cutlery, glasses, cups, mugs, plates, jugs, bowls, but need to take own dish cloths and tea towels. Most things looked new but table and place mats looked tired. I get the feeling that they are slowly making improvements to these appartments as other earlier reviews have not been so good and we were a little worried before we arrived at what we would find. This is why I have gone into such detail to try to dispel any concerns that earlier reveiws may have given you too. The pool was fine but I advise goggles as some days the chorine was quite strong. Jacuzzi and steam rooms fine and grounds quite lovely. Fairly good outdoor facilities. Son loved the challenge of the putting green. A quiet location but easy to get to Machynlleth, Aberdovey, and Tywyyn. Beautiful for walking and a peaceful time.

I have just returned home after a week at Lapwing # 10 and wished to say that (despite the rain) I was favourably impressed with Plas Talgarth. This was my 21st visit there and I have never seen the estate in better condition. Trees and shrubs are properly pruned / trimmed, and fences and other estate furniture are repaired swiftly. A further favourable impression was the fact that your telephone rates are still competitive. I use the internet a lot and it can take quite a while to get past junk Emails and Spam. I was therefore pleased that my telephone bill was fair and quite reasonable.
