We stayed in a Derwent Lodge for 4 people. The price of the chalet is very reasonable, but the chalet was in desperate need of refurbishment. The kitchen was well equipped, but the living area was very worn out. All the beds had plastic mattress covers on that made sleeping very unpleasant and there was a general smell of 'mustiness'. The bathroom was really horrible - there was black mould growing all around the bath and up the walls and the shower was little more than a dribble. There were also no tiles or lino on the floor in the bathroom - it was generally a horrible experience venturing into the bathroom. The swimming pool and sauna area was also in need of complete refurbishment. The larger chalets may be better, but this really isn't a great place to stay.

All in all a very disappointing visit to this location, very ordinary unit with 2 very small single beds and a double with a plastic mattress protector on, only time I have ever experienced one of those was in hospital. The two couches in the small lounge were very stained and past their use by date.
