Dingy room which smelt of smoke, uncomfortable beds, no toiletries in the bathroom (which one expects in a 'hotel'), very noisy - noise from the bar kept us awake until after 11pm, and the walls are made of paper - we could hear people snoring in the next room. Not the best night's sleep in the world. As for breakfast - one milk jug between 3 tables, and our breakfast order was incorrect even though a form was filled in the night before.

Good Points: Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely room: warm and clean, with fresh towels and bedding each day. Bad Points: Only one slight problem - we noticed that the door in the bar (downstairs) 'banged' closed each time someone came in or out and we could hear this upstairs in our room. General review: We did find a slight difficulty in locating the hotel, due to it being set slightly back from the road, and we passed it twice before noticing the sign, which was also very slightly hidden.

Good points - the staff were friendly and the pub was good. Bad points - the room was dirty along with the bed covers (found two pubes!). The cleaners must have been on holiday. We stayed in a large room and our friends stayed in a standard. We wished we had stayed in a standard room as this was much nicer. Glad we only had to stayed one night.

Good Points: My partner and myself liked the fact that the room was comfortable and enjoyable the facilities were all in working order and we were free to come and go as we pleased. Bad Points: i didnt like the fact that on a couple of occasions we were woken up by loud talking right beneath us and sometimes laugh outside the room where the cleaners closet is situated. General Review: Our overall review is staisfactory we enjoyed our stay and we felt welcomed by the staff the only problem i have personally is the price of the room its £25 per person per night in a double room we are lookin into comming again but for a larger double room which will cost more granted the size difference i just think its a little steep considering some places do £25 per night and not per person per night I wouldnt want to stay anywhere else in prestatyn as the Halcyon Quest Hotel is such a lovely place to stay.

Good Points: Separate entrance to rooms, so didn't have to go through the pub everytime. Friendly staff. General Review: We only stayed here one night and it was generally fine but we had some problems with our stay. The shower was a bit tricky to get the temperature right. The breakfast, included in the price of the room, was a bit sparse compared to previous breakfasts at other B&Bs. It was poorly laid out and the cups were dirty - minor grips but all added up to an overall poor finish to a nice stay .
