Did'nt stay in the hotel. We went for dinner in the restaurant. The first night we had dinner, it was just me and my husband. And, to be fair, it was nice, apart from the fast that 3 items on the menu were not available. We returned with my parents 2 days later and the same 3 items were still not available. We ordered our meals, but this time, they were cold, unappetising, and I thought my Gammon Steak was in danger of walking away, it was so under cooked. The Rissotto was stodgy and reminiscent of rice pudding instead of grains of rice. All dinners were not nice. We did pay, then complained afterwards. We didnt want them to think we were complaining to get out of paying. The complaint was treated with a smirk and complete disdain. After all, why worry, they had our money. I would advise people to go up the road to the 'Two for One' Restaurant.

Good Points: Reception staff particularly helpful. Bad Points: Not enough restaurant staff resulting in tables not being cleared and breakfast items not being available without being asked for. Self service would have made it easier for staff as they seemed really busy and I did not feel I could approach them easily. I prefer self service for breakfast so you can see what is being offered and then make a choice. General review: An acceptable stay but not outstanding, I feel more could be done to make guests feel welcome, tea/coffee facilities OK but items were limited, feel that this could be improved.
