My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights after finding this 'restaurant with rooms' on the internet and choosing it due to the guests reviews. We were certainly not disappointed and the reviews were spot on. The room we stayed in was a lovely size, very tastefully decorated and beautifully finished to a very high standard, Room and bathroom very clean, huge bed, tea and coffee, large TV... all you could need. Breakfast was excellent, dinner was great and prices reasonable for the high standard of the food. Owners and family and staff very welcoming and would definately want to stay again if ever in the vicinity.

One of the best restaurants in East Anglia which never disappoints. The Chef / Proprieter John Stenhouse always delivers, and the menu just spoils you for choice. A great atmosphere n a period Inn, friendly with the bonus of interesting local characters sometimes at lunchtime at the bar (if you are lucky) - the Walrus of Love, Mrs Miggins, Roger the Farmer, David his brother who pretends to be a farmer, Cllr Charles, Sam the Eagle, Fred Kite ex Union Rep - the list is endless ;-) If you are in the area this is the place to eat and I drive there from Cambridge for lunch, often with a car full of friends - I am such a fan!

What can I say, I first stayed at the Auberge in August 2002 and have been back nearly every week since. The rooms are very well appointed, comfortable LARGE beds, air-con, video/DVD, brilliant showers etc etc. Dee and John are very friendly and will involve single visitors with the local crew if they want to be social or let them eat quietly on their own if that is their wish. The food; only one word, fantastic. If you need a room or just a great meal, and you're in the area, you'd be nuts to go elsewhere.
