i have stayed at the hopton arms before and went for dinner in august i have never had any problems at this quiet country pub , the staff are always friendly and welcoming. the food has always been hot and edible also the rooms are suitable for a perfect stay at a bed & breakfast so if you want a relaxing weekend away this is the right place to visit.

Nothing like as good as the website lead us to believe. Room was very small with the main road outside. There was no double glazing. There was no wardrobe. The only place for our clothes was on a small high shelf or on one of five coat hangers which hung underneath the shelf. The TV did not work properly and it only had 5 analogue programmes. The shower was a disaster being very small with nowhere to stand while you adjust the temperature. You freeze or scald while you are getting the temperature right. As for food, the breakfasts were good (and served by Emma, the only staff member who looked pleased to see us) but the evening meals were poor on our first night with the vegetables cooked a long time before serving and were rather dried up. The second night produced a much better meal though still only average. My advice is to find somewhere else to stay if you can.

Oh dear! This inn looks superb on the internet but the only thing good about it was the breakfast it served. Rooms small, bedding not changed? curtains hanging off (just needed curtain hooks). Evening food unedible, veg days old, pie off! Should have run a mile when we walked in and bar was empty on a Friday night. Staff couldn't care less.

the room was quite small and could really have done with a lick of paint. the bed was not made for us on the second day of our stay. the breakfast was good but the evening meals were only ok and not worth the money.
