Proper pub, with good food. We were made to feel very welcome by both the staff and the locals. The menu was limited but adequate. My husband had the gammon and I went for the only choice of steak, rump, which I normally avoid. However we were very pleasantly suprised. The meat on both plates was excellent and the rest of the meal super. a good choice of salad or veg and a choice of potatoes. The garnish also made the plates look very inviting. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal which was washed down by good beer and lager, and served by a very pleasant waitress. The icing on the cake was the fact that we were allowed to bring our dogs into the bar area when we had finished our meal we shall cetainly be returning for another visit WELL DONE THE WOOLPACK AND THANK YOU!
