An interesting visit, arrived late afternoon, on the friday, following an horrendous journey from Dover.Iniatally very pleased with room 8, however early on during preparations for evening meal, and trying to get two young children dressed and ready, came across the fact that the tiolet systen, did not fill up once flushed, if left over night it would however two adults & two chlidren NOT GOOD.After reorting this we were moved to room 9 which was far more pleasant, however I did get the impression that unless you were either a celebrity or a member of the royal family you didn't recieve the five star treatment. One saving grace the duty male manger was very nice and is a wasted talent at that hotel.

Good Points: Location, property itself, friendly atmosphere Bad Points: Restaurant was closed during our stay(indicated after reservation), room was in fairly poor condition (wobbly beds, bathroom door lock did not work, tiles had cracks and seals missings, light fitting looked old and tired, some broken, radiator thermostat did not work. General Review: We think that the reacreational activities were overadvertised, or the staff was too busy to tell us about them. The room layout was excellent but the condition was an unpleasant surprise.
