Having read good and bad reviews I went for this Hotel because of value for money as well as location. Near enough to family for xmas but far enough that if I wanted time alone with my other half I could do so. The hotel offered pleasant surroundings, staff were polite and conscientious at all times. Food quality reasonable. If you want a cheap 5 star hotel then this is not for you. If you want a 3 star with a friendly atmosphere then The Quality Northampton is for you. Whilst I was staying they had a party night on and I was told I could participate without cost. I and my husband joined in and had a thoroughly good time.

Yet another spectacular outdoor concert featuring the voice from Wales - Katherine Jenkins. Katherine brought the good weather and lots of stunning gowns to sing for a packed park audience in Haywards Heath. The evening kicked off with some good old New Orleans Jazz by the Borderline Jazz band & were followed by the excellent Sussex Symphony Orchestra who started their repertoire with the music from the film 633 Squadron. The very talented 4 man Blake sang in their usual harmonic way & were followed by a new talent from Lithunia, the violinist Diana Galydyte. Katherine sang a varied repertoire of songs to please everyone including Time to say goodbye. She rounded off the evening by leading everyone in a final sing-song that included the old favourite We'll meet again. Not forgetting of course, the flag-waving of Last Night of the Proms & the finale of 1812 which was due to be accompanied by fireworks but sadly the blustery wind prevented this. All in all, a wonderful, friendly & heart-warming evening & the prospect of looking forward to more of the same next year!
