Good Points: Friendly staff, hotel and grounds very attractive and very well kept. Breakfast good and Silks restaurant both very good. Bad Points: Wall socket for TV not working ( we tried other appliances in the same socket as a test). General review: Most enjoyable, would liked to have stayed longer.

Good Points: Staff were friendly, polite and efficient. Room clean and spacious. Prices for the bar were reasonable. Hotel grounds were lovely. Food was good in Silks brasserie. Bad Points: Bit disppointed the Garden Room restaurant wasn't open, but suspect this was due to small number of guests, so understandable and not a major issue. General review: Very enjoyable - despite the pouring rain!

Good Points: Lovely peaceful setting. Surroundings beautiful. Hotel staff extremely friendly and helpful - had a very enjoyable stay. Bad Points: Rooms were a bit dated, wallpaper in corridors coming off in places, paintwork needed redoing. Both restaurants rather expensive though. General review: Overall a very pleasant experience. Would have been nice to have had more choice of plainer meals, both the Brasserie and the Hotel menu were rather expensive and fussy and would not suit all. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel setting is wonderful.
