Good Points: Very nice bar and restaurant area. Staff were very friendly and helpful. the service in the restaurant was excellent and the food was first class. Bad Points: The standard room was fairly small and some fittings were requiring attention/replacing. Old television with only 5 channels. General review: Very nice hotel, in a good location, we would definitely book it again

WHILE ATTENDING A RETIREMENT AND BIRTHDAY PARTY IN THE FUNCTION HALL IWAS DISAPPOINTED TO FIND THE BAR RAN OUT OF PERNOD AFTER MY FIRST DRINK. A LITTLE LATER IN THE EVENING THE BAR RAN OUT OF VODKA TOO. THE LACK OF PERNOD WAS EXPLAINED BY THE "MANAGER" AS THERE "WAS NO DEMAND FOR IT" AND RUNNING OUT OF VODKA BY A DISMISSIVE SHRUG OF THE SHOULDERS. SLOPPY MANAGEMENT AND VERY LITTLE ATTENTION TO CUSTOMER CARE SPOILED AN OTHERWISE GOOD NIGHT AND MAKE IT VERY UNLIKELY THAT THE STAFF OF THE LOCAL TESCO STORE WILL HOLD FUTURE FUNCTIONS THERE.

Brit Quote:
I used to look at these pictures of trumpeters pointing their instrument to the ceiling. Stunning pictures, but if you play the trumpet and point it upwards, all the spit comes back into your mouth! - Humphrey Lyttleton
