Reviews of Brocket Arms, Wigan

Best rates for a Local Hotel

The Brocket is notorious for being a lively and friendly pub with cheap food and cheap beer. The downside to the Brocket is that the meals vary from good value, to downright disgusting. My meal on 07060 - chicken wrap with chips - was cold, without chicken and had the grand total of 5 chips on my plate! When the Brocket first opened, you could guarantee value for money in a clean and friendly environment. It now attracts some unsavoury characters and needs a good clean, especially the security camera facing the main bar, which I noticed 12 months ago and it still hasn't been touched with a duster and now requires industrial strength bleach! There seems to have been an ongoing change in management and bar staff, some of which are nice and friendly and some of which are down right rude and offensive. The Brocket was a local gem when it opened and is now going downhill fast.
