Booked an overnight stay for two of us plus two teenagers. (yes, afraid we had to take them) We were given a 'suite' on the top floor. Small seating area with two two seater settees, television, lamps etc; this led through to two seperate rooms, one with twin beds and a double with a balcony offering lovely views over the gardens and the stunning scenery. Result!! The place itself is a beautiful old eighteenth century mansion.There was a staircase from our room which took us down to the swimmming pool, bar area and restaurant. There was also a side door off to the right which brings you out into the gardens without having to come through reception. We had a drink in the bar which I found over expensive, pint and a half of lager and two cokes came to £12. Glad we only had one at that price. Dinner was lovely and the setting almost worth paying the excessive bar price for. Lovely blazing fire in the dining room.Breakfast was equally as good and the staff were really friendly. Couldn't fault it. Would definitely return.

Good Points: Made very welcome upon arrival, hotel situated within excellent grounds very relaxing. very quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast had a good selection of fruit and cereals, plus a very good cooked breakfast.
Bad Points: Only one toilet provided roll in bathroom. Only one packet of biscuits in room. Receptionist gave wrong bill upon checkout.
General review: It was very pleasant and worth the money.
