Good Points: The room was a good size Bad Points: We were not warned about the amazingly loud kareoke in the bar directly under our room from 9am to midnight on Friday night. We needed to be up early on saturday to work & had been working on friday & were very tired. The noise made sleep / watching TV impossible. General review: Would not stay there again due to the dreadful noise on friday might. The sound could have been turned down after 11am and/ or we could have been warned / offered another room

Good Points: Friendly staff, clean and confortable. Bad Points: Coffee and tea making materials but no kettle. Toilet cistern made a noise like the QE2 when filling up. General review: I booked this hotel at short notice as I was going to the match between Yeovil and Leeds. I usually stay in Premier Inn/Travel Lodge but I found the hotel friendly and comfortable and the price was good incl. cooked breakfast. The karaoke finished around 11.30 so did not disturb residents. There was tea making facilities in the room - but no kettle, this was no problem for me, and to be fair, I did not ask for one at the reception. The toilet cistern when filling made a racket that could be heard throughout the floor, it needed adjusting on the fill valve.

Stayed at this place with a colleague on Monday and Tuesday 7th & 8th January 2008. We were greeted in a very unfriendly manner and charged the full amount for our stay immediately. That was a first as I am used to settling the bill on departure. When we got to the rooms my colleague found his in a dreadful state with empty wine bottles and empty plates etc all over the room and the beds not made up. He was given apologies and another room which was made up. My room was freezing cold with neither the radiator in the bedroom or the towel rail in the shower working. There was no room to 'swing a cat' in either the bedroom or shower. The next morning I asked for the heating to be fixed or to be moved to another room with heating that worked. When we got in on the first evening neither the heating had been fixed or my case moved to another room but after complaining again I did eventualy get moved to another room with heating that worked. On our last night we arrived back at the hotel quite late at around 11:10 in the evening. After gaining access through a side door and navigating a maze of very small corridors we eventualy found the bar and asked the owner if there was any chance of a drink? His reply was 'none at all, were closed'! All in all a very inhospitable and cold place to stay and we certainly wont be returning there. Cold in not only temperature but very unfriendly. The breakfast was decent.
